Crealde Student Art Show Opening

Kathy Crealde Student Art Show 2014 edit

I was raised as an airline brat travelling the world with my family & my Kodak Instamatic camera.  I went on to study Fine Arts at the University of Georgia but left to join the corporate world.  After 30 years working for a Fortune 500 company studying spreadsheets all day, I retired to return to the art world.

I  attended photography classes at Crealde School of Art in Winter Park, Florida.

I've also raised and trained Dobermans and Dalmatians since 1988, showing in conformation, agility, lure coursing and obedience earning many titles in AKC and UKC.

My love of dogs and photography led me to photographing dog events which include conformation, agility, terrier racing, lure coursing & weight pull as well as portraits--both dogs and people.  The photography classes at Crealde have also sparked my interest in documentary photography.

My photos have appeared in publications such as: The DCA Spotter, EDalmatians,  EBostons, The Beauceron Bulletin and The American Black & Tan Coonhound Chronicle.

Several of my documentary photos have been on display at the Alice & William Jenkins Gallery in Winter Park as well as the Rock Springs Bar & Grill in Apopka.

Recently moved to Montgomery, Alabama.
